Each of our six CABUN Rural Health Services facilities is a Patient-Centered Medical Home for the people of southern and southwestern Arkansas, from infants to older adults. We have two school based clinics who serve Hempstead and Union county schools. Our clinics focus on preventive medicine to avoid illness, manage life-altering diseases, and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Wellness and Illness Visits

CABUN Rural Health Services is your health care home when you are sick and when you want to learn how to stay as healthy as possible. Our family practice doctors evaluate and treat common illnesses, such as colds, fever, and the stomach flu.

Arthritis

Arthritis pain and swelling can make it difficult to participate in your favorite activities, as well as perform daily chores. Arthritis occurs for many reasons, including aging, “wear and tear,” trauma, and disease. For most people rest and medications are all that are needed.

CABUN will treat you for arthritis, whether or not you have insurance. You may also be eligible to receive assistance for prescription medications.

Diabetes Management

There are more than 25.8 million children and adults in the United States with diabetes, and one out of four people who have diabetes does not know it, according to the American Diabetes Association. Do you know what your blood sugar (glucose) level is?

Diabetes affects how the body uses sugar. There are two types of diabetes, type 1 and type 2.  People with type 1 diabetes do not produce insulin, a hormone that helps the body use sugar for energy. DOT Physicals for Truck Drivers

CABUN offers DOT physicals for truck drivers and school bus drivers. The US Department of Transportation requires DOT Physical Certification and DOT Re-Certification that meets federal requirements. Several providers are certified to perform these tests, call to schedule your physical today.

Flu Shots

Flu shots can help reduce your chances of getting the flu. Flu shots do not cause the flu but help your body build up resistance to protect you from the flu.

Flu shots are approved for people that are older than 6 months of age. They are especially important for people with a high risk for complications from the flu, such as older adults or those with certain health conditions. Ask your doctor if flu shots are right for you. CABUN has discounted fees to make flu shots affordable for all.

High Blood Pressure
